Emma at the Milk Race

“I started working with Chris in January after deciding that I wanted to take my road and track racing more seriously. I had done a little before but struggled to get the results I thought I was capable of and didn’t really know how to go about changing that. Chris took the time to understand my motivations as a rider and we worked out a realistic set of goals which were worked into an annual plan. He then translated this into a weekly training plan and was very flexible about working around my schedule to make sure it worked for …

Ben at a Road Race in Hillingdon

I started working with Chris with the sole aim of moving up a category after a fairly fruitless start to the season.  After consultation with Chris in a very nice coffee shop, we concluded that I needed a solid structure to my training and more focus on different aspects of riding.  Needless to say with a varied, meticulously planned schedule by Chris, I earned my promotion in the last few races of the season. Thanks Chris for your help and support and will look forward to hopefully more results after the gruelling winter 🙂

I contacted Chris in my early days of cycling as being a novice rider, I wanted to get some guidance on building up my strength and improving my cycling technique.  We had some 1:1 sessions working on the basic aspects of cycling (starts, hill climbs, descending, position etc) and also spoke about strength training in the gym and nutrition. I found Chris extremely thorough and very adaptable to working with an inexperienced rider with pre-existing injuries.  He improved my confidence on the bike and continues to provide me with training plans to use while travelling.  He is great fun to …

At the beginning of the year Chris & I sat down to discuss my goals for the coming racing season. He gave me a series of 1:1 technique sessions & we did some tests to track my performance over time.  I started training to HR zones but found that I preferred to train by ‘feel’, to which Chris was very accommodating and supportive, allowing me to train in the way I was most comfortable. Chris is really flexible and easy to liaise with, making sessions fun and enjoyable. I found him very thorough; he gave me a lot of additional …

Karen's testimonial

Chris step changed my technique and gave my training the necessary structure so that in a very short amount of time I started to notice the difference in my cycling. Chris’ approach is incredibly thorough and individual, I quickly felt that he understood my aims and built training plans that were achievable given my work commitments.  Nothing is too much trouble for Chris and in spite of me being an average cyclist who’s never going to win any medals he applies himself to my training as if one day I might.

Mark TT

“Chris started coaching me during the winter with the aim of improving my TT times the next season. Following an assessment of my fitness Chris sent me a training plan for each week based mainly around my commuting to work due to family commitments. Initially the training plans worked on building up my base fitness and then gradually added in more intense sessions to prepare me for the TT season. Coaching also focused on my technique, such as pacing a Time Trial, position on a TT bike and even a session practising entries and exits of roundabouts. I found Chris’ …

As a Junior rider, I was initially looking for a coach who could accompany me on Wednesday afternoon sessions in place of sport at school and Chris has been extremely accommodating in creating and supervising inventive sessions for each week. In addition, he has also guided me through my first full season of road racing, advising me on which races to enter and the tactics that I should employ. As a result of Chris’ advice and structured training, my performance has improved dramatically and I soon surpassed my initial aim of racing in a selection of Surrey League road races, …
